I am a research scientist with the AI Research team at JP Morgan. I graduated with a PhD in Machine Learning from Georgia Tech in August 2023 working with Prof. Rampi Ramprasad and Prof. Chao Zhang. I worked in Natural Language Processing for knowledge and information extraction from scientific literature. My research was supported by the 2022 JP Morgan PhD Fellowship. I am the creator of the platform polymerscholar.org used to search for material property data found in published literature. I have previously worked at Sony, Japan, and spent a summer at JP Morgan AI Research working on summarization models for company filings in low-resource settings. I am currently working on multimodal vision language models for document understanding.

Personal
I have traveled extensively through Europe and South East Asia having visited ~20 countries. In my free time, I enjoy reading and was involved with the Graduate Student Senate of Georgia Tech, working on initiatives related to Teaching Assistantships. I was also part of the TI:GER program during my PhD. I was an active quizzer in years past and represented India at the Brain World Cup and won the National round of the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Quiz.
